We believe in the power of families. We recognize that every family is unique in its composition and personality and every relationship within a family is beautifully individual. Footsteps Clothing was created by two moms, Amber and Marci, who treasure the uniqueness within their own families. Amber and Marci are friends and neighbors and created Footsteps Clothing to offer fun, quality products to help families celebrate their own unique identity.
Amber is a parenting author and columnist, a CPA and former Senior Manager in Big 4 public accounting; Marci is a former Washington Congressional lobbyist and executive at the American Cancer Society. As busy moms, we are always looking for new ways to deepen our relationships with our children and spend more quality time with them. Amber treasures her relationship with her eight year old son by training in martial arts together (both are black belts!) and writing stories. Equally special, (yet totally different), is her relationship with her six year old daughter. They enjoy their time together by playing soccer and reading.
The uniqueness of family relationships is even more apparent with Marci’s relationships with her 3 girls – 2 of them twins! Marci and five year old Ella enjoy mother-daughter spa nights. With Lily, one of her two year old twins, Marci wrestles and tickles, while with her other twin Anna, she enjoys cuddling and stories.
And we didn’t forget Dad – we have a large selection of fun products for Dad to celebrate his very special relationships within the family. As parents, we want what all parents want - to give our children everything: the confidence to be smart, the self-assuredness to desire happiness, the audacity to be tough, the courage to be individual.
We also recognize that the composition of families differs, yet the relationships within any family can be special and beautiful. Some of our best friends are single parents that share a very close relationship with their children. Family is certainly extended to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and we are proud to celebrate those relationships, too. The people and love and relationships amongst its members are the important components that make up a family.
